Galaxy Note N7000 ICS with root
Here is the my way to upgrade my galaxy note n7000 from 2.3.6 root to 4.0.3 ice cream sandwich N7000DXLP9_N7000OLBLP6_N7000DXLP5_HOME.tar with keep my device root .

DISCLAIMER: i won’t be responsible if this process bricks your device

items i need to prepare is,

 .Mobile Odin by chainfire 

 .Official Galaxy Note N7000 ICS 4.0.3 firmware

 .ODIN3 V1.85 

 .KIES  Suite

 .CF-Root


.I am already install samsung usb to my computer if don't have you will need to install  SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1_3_2300_0.zip 


                                                                                                              
For Galaxy Note N7000 each different firmware will having different of root ,
(Go to Settings -> About phone -> Kernel Version. Note the string present there: 2.6.35.7-N7000XXLC1-CL1039404 Here Red is kernel version) .
so your CF-Root-SGN XX OXA-LC1-v5.3-CWM5.zip
Select and download the suitable kernel version to flash using odin3.

Guide to start rooting Android version 2.3.6

1.Checking my devices was running Android version :2.3.6 , Baseband version N7000DXLC1 and Kernal version is  2.6.35.7-N7000DXLC2-CL1039404, is malaysia ASIA firmware.

2. Download suitable CF-Root version for 2.6.35.7-N7000DXLC2-CL1039404,so my cf-root will be
CF-Root-SGN_XX_OXA_LC1-v5.3-CWM5.zip .

3.Download and install KIES and samsung usb drive is your computer don't have.

4.After done step 1,2 and 3 at take out device battery and put back then pressing and holding Volume down + HOME + Power button until Warning then press Volume down button like picture below.

 5.Connect your devices to computer double click ODIN3 v1.85.exe ,make sure ODIN3 was show your devices com port as picture below.

6.Make sure do not click re-partition just stay on default setting select PDA choose the CF-Root-SGN XX OXA-LC1-v5.3-CWM5 that where you located the file, click on start to start flashing your devices.After finish Odin will show PASS at green box

7.Now your devices was fully root with custom recovery mode,that allow you upgrade favorite rom using memory card,on screen will show triangle when boot up to android but don't worry it will be gone after start next step upgrade to ICS 4.0.3 firmware.
                                                                                                                 In menu you will see SuperSU
                                                                                                                 and  CWM app this will show
                                                                                                                 you was success root it.

8.Continue next step upgrade to new version ICS 4.0.3 N7000DXLP9, download Mobile Odin by chainfire is mobile version Odin that allow you run the firmware at your storage card,copy the eu.chainfire.mobileodin.pro.236.apk to storage card, at your device go to My files---external_sd run the apk file and install to your device.


9.Download Official Galaxy Note N7000 ICS 4.0.3 firmware extract and copy to your storage card,make sure your storage card is more then 2gb , you will need around 900mb plus to use at your storage card.

10.Run Mobile Odin at your devices .

11.Open file at Mobile Odin Pro select N7000DXLP9_N7000OLBLP6_N7000DXLP5_HOME.tar.md5 at storage card.

12.Tick at enable EverRoot, inject Superuser(SuperSU) and Inject Mobile ODIN, to allow you next time can just only upgrade a firmware with root at future.

13.Select Flash firmware to start flashing.

14.select Check to start run.

15.when start process your device screen will show Odin android logo,wait until the blue bar is process finish device will auto reboot.

 16.Congratulation your device was success upgrade to ICS with root.








                                                                                                                                                                   
How to know your galaxy note n7000 was stay at root

1.Connect your devices to your computer .(please make sure your pc have AndroidSDK )
2.At your computer Start---at search type CMD.
2.then type on Administrator type c:\sdk\tools>adb shell press enter,then you should see at your screen is




  ( shell@android:/ $ ) type SU Enter you will see (shell@android:/#) like picture below if show (shell@android:/ $) your devices was fail unroot.

8.If your computer not installed AndroidSDK you can download  Android Terminal at Play store just type "Terminal" you will get it. at android terminal type Su your device will show (Superuser Request) request as picture below, mean your devices is already keep in root.

9.Done
